Israeli singer and composer David D’or is blessed with a beautiful and unique voice. His exceptional 4-octave range stretches from the high notes of a contra-tenor to the depths of a baritone. D’or is widely hailed as one of the best vocalists in the world and a leading Israeli musician of his generation. His music harmoniously combines classical, pop and world music elements to stunning effect. D’or performs in Israel and around the world and has 15 Gold and Platinum albums.
D'Or began his career on stage with the Israeli National Theater. In 1991 he released his first album, “David D’or”. The album included hit song “Yad Anuga” that was remixed by Nelson “Paradise” Roman and Bump, and released as a single in the UK. In the same year, D’or was invited by conductor Zubin Mehta to appear with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, performing Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana. Subsequently, D’or performed several times with the Philharmonic, and in 2003, released an album of these performances called “David D’or and the Philharmonic”. The album received critical acclaim and went gold and platinum.
